Dr. Bawumia Engages Stakeholders in Crafting Manifesto for Transformative Governance

Dr. Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), visited Ho to engage stakeholders in gathering ideas for crafting his manifesto for the 2024 general election campaign.
He assumed the NPP flagbearer role for the 2024 General Election on November 4, 2023. On February 23, 2024, the Vice President and Flagbearer established a manifesto committee.
According to the Vice President, “God doesn’t give one person all the wisdom, all the wisdom is scattered all over, so if you are preparing a manifesto to help the country you better speak to the people and hear from them what the real issues that concern them are.”

Bawumia, upon his arrival at St. Francis Assisi Parish in Ho, sought the blessings and wisdom of the clergy. In his quest for victory in the 2024 general election, he engaged in dialogue with religious leaders, valuing their spiritual guidance and insights.
In his address to the clergy, Bawumia expressed the government’s decision to digitalize Ghanaian citizens, drawing inspiration from initiatives undertaken by the United States of America.
He highlighted the introduction of the Ghana Card, emphasizing that over 85% of adults have already been issued this essential identification document.
Additionally, Bawumia addressed implementing a digital address system, highlighting the initiative to name streets across the country.
According to the flagbearer of the New patriotic party Dr Bawumia, Ghanaians can use the Ghana card to receive healthcare without using a folder.
Bawumia stated in his speech to the clergy that his administration would oppose LGBTQ rights, citing their contradiction with Ghanaian cultural and religious norms. Additionally, he remarked that Western societies would not tolerate polygamy in their systems.
The Vice President, once hailed as an economic messiah but now embraced as a digital savior amid the country’s profound economic challenges, assured the clergy that education would be a top priority in his administration.
He pledged to integrate technology into schools, emphasizing the global trend towards such advancements.
